Steve and Jocelyn
Over the past 9 months (June 2014) we have been associated with the company ‘MSZ Restoration and Contracting” and its employees. First I will explain our situation which led us to find this terrific company.
We are Jocelyn and Steve Dade and were very strongly hit by the 2013 High River Flood. Our 4 level split home was impacted on 2 floors, June 20th, 2013 by the flood water. 5 1/2 Feet in the basement and 12″ on the family room floor which then stayed in those areas for 11 days. To make a long story short, our home was cleaned by a Government funded company who did a deplorable job. We realized our home was sub standardly cleaned through other professionals and we had to take the Disaster Recovery Program to task to have our home properly remediated! We found MSZ Restoration and Contracting through a newspaper article reported in the High River Times. The article presented this company as a very professional, innovative and thorough company who could clean an “infected” home and take back to its pre-flood condition. We liked what we saw and called James (James Zolkavich, Managing Partner) and had our first interview immediately!
It took 9 months to get the financing worked out with the DRP but through ALL of that time James and Curtis of MSZ were absolutely amazing! James kept in contact with Steve almost weekly, which was great for a morale booster for us when we needed it!
When we finally got the OK to clean our home, the entire MSZ crew came in and very professionally prepped the house by sealing off all the windows and doors, put plastic up to to barrier off the upstairs from the lower two floors (which for us was possible) and sealed off all the vents and ducts to keep the upstairs protected as much from the dust and environmentally unfriendly particles as they could. They then cleansed the bottom two floors with the dry ice protocol and remediated the house as it needed to be, just as they had explained it to us. Our house was then thoroughly vacuumed and the concrete floor in the basement power washed, they brought in dryers and dehumidifiers to dry the structure once again. They finished the process by applying a sealant called Fiberset Post Removal Sealant, which makes us feel even more confident that the house was cleaned and encapsulated. We now have the self-assurance going forward (all the more so to the next owner of this house when we eventually sell it) that it is a totally cleaned and safe home for anyone to be in!
We would like to thank MSZ Restoration and Contracting for the meticulous job done and highly recommend their services to anyone looking to remediate their house after any disaster or in any regard to a home needing to be sanitized or remediated. They also have a very personable and professional crew and organization, the customer service was outstanding at every turn!
